He is survived by: his wife Celine Lauer; his sons, Aaron Lauer (Martha) of Singapore and Nathan Lauer (Steve McCombs) of Philadelphia, PA; his grandchildren, Winslow Hobbs and Penelope Hobbs; and his siblings, Mitzie Eckert of Kitchner-Waterloo, Canada., Cathy Jackson (Paul) of Kitchner-Waterloo, Canada., John Lauer (Carole) of Kitchner-Waterloo, Canada., Bob Lauer (Myrna) of Kitchner-Waterloo, Canada., Jim Lauer of Kitchner-Waterloo, Canada. and Tom Lauer (Rose) of Kitchner-Waterloo, Canada..

Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Community Home Care and Hospice, 662 W Corbett Ave, Swansboro, NC 28584 or to the cemetery fund at St Agatha Church, 1839 Notre Dame Drive, St. Agatha, Ontario, Canada NOB 2L0.

Though connections break down after retirement, he crossed my mind when thinking or talking about the past work we did. He was so good to us.
