With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nell Powers Gwinn of Hubert, North Carolina, born in Rainelle, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 1, 2024 at the age of 69. As Nell Powers departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Nell Powers may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Nell Powers leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, French Blaine Powers and Theda Gale Fleshman. She is survived by: her husband Danny Dwaine Gwinn; her children, Rachel Gwinn Haines and Cory Daniel Gwinn; her granddaughter Gwyneth "Winnie" Ava Haines; and her siblings, Lisa Powers Brown, Gary French Powers and Mark Lindsey Powers. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many many many dear friends.
