She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Clinwood Spivey; and her brother Frank Spivey. She is survived by: her parents, Clifton Daniel and Janie Hayes Carney; her children, Jan Zgieb (Joshua) of Augusta, GA, Kristie L. Spivey of Chesapeake, VA and Torry L. DeBerry of Swansboro; her stepchildren, Michael W. Riley (Rita), Rickie C. Riley (Barbara) of Swansboro and Nancy Demanski (Bob) of Swansboro; and her sisters, Lois Williams of Jacksonville and Marie Erwin. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
