He was predeceased by: his wife Aythel Ashley Harper; and his parents, Jake Harper and Orill Barker Harper. He is survived by: his children, Rochelle "Shelley" Harper of Hubert, John Scott Harper of Maysville and Jeffery Harper (April) of Swansboro; and his siblings, Bea York of Cincinnati, Wilma Simmons of Olive Hill, KY, Lyda Skaggs (Millard) of Olive Hill, KY, Wick Harper of Isonville, KY, Frank Harper (Pauline) of Morehead, KY, David Harper (Myra) of Olive Hill, KY and Glenn Harper of Olive Hill, KY.. He is also survived by three grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
