He was predeceased by: his mother Betty McComas Hursey; and his brother Mark Barnes. He is survived by: his children, James "Jamie" Allen Hursey, III (Brooke), Dustin Doss (Whitny), Danielle Derois (Jonathon), Caylin McGibney (Jesse) of Hubert and Kelly Fontaine (Jack) of Jacksonville; his girlfriend Michelle Hursey of Beulaville; his siblings, Randy Barnes, Debbie Henderson, Viola Masterson, Jessica Hursey and Nicole Hursey-Sargent; and his father James Allen Hursey, Sr.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
