With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Delbert Denny Jr. of Hubert, North Carolina, born in Portsmouth, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 21, 2024 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to James' earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration James has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James D. Denny, Sr. and Elsie Sims Denny; his son James D. "Jimmy" Denny, III; and his brother Alan Denny. He is survived by: his significant other LaVonne Brown; his daughter Jennifer Denny Conner of Roanoke Rapids; his siblings, Larry Denny of Vera Beach, FL, Donna Loftus and Debbie Hommell of Vera Beach, FL; and his half-brothers, Mark and John Denny of Titusville, FL.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a No Kill animal shelter or to the DAV.
