He was predeceased by: his mother Margaret "Peggy" Mewborn Briley; and his grandparents, Ronald Earl Mewborn Jr. of Kinston, Martha Hardison Mewborn of Kinston, Richard Wooten Briley and Peggy Minton Briley of Greenville.
He is survived by: his father James Randy Briley; his stepmother Carol Chandler Briley; his sister Stephanie Briley Fidler (Doug); his stepsister Lauren Dabbs Renaud (Andrew); his nieces, Cassidy Carlton Gant (Justin) and Brittany Nicole Durham (Matthew); his nephew Walker Renaud; his great-nephew Everett Gant; his great-niece Briley Gant; and his cousin Angela Mewborn Tyndall. He is also survived by many other cousins, aunts and uncles.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Westview Cemetery (917 Cleveland Dr, Kinston, NC 28504).
