Richard Ellison Obituary

On June 30th, 2022 Richard K. Ellison of Rochester NY passed away in Hope Mills, NC. He was 89 years old.

He is preceded in death by his mother Lillian Ellison and father Richard G. Ellison. Wife Fran Ellison (2nd) and Lorraine Ellison (3rd)

He is survived by his wife Marilou Ellison (1st), daughter Tracey Fredenberg (husband Tom), stepdaughter Lori Mancuso (Peter Mancuso), stepdaughter Lisa Trapini (Rich Trapini), and the daughter that took him as her Earth Daddy Julie Neumeier (Elliott Davis). Granddaughter Brianna Hilger, step-grandchildren Jessica Paszak, Jacob Paszak, Nick Mancuso, Alex Mancuso, Jack Mancuso, Gianna Trapini, Tommy Fredenberg and Joelle Hunter. His little buddy and great-grandson Brandon.

He graduated from the University of Cincinnati as an Aerospace Engineer (yes, my Dad was a rocket scientist) After achieving many great things in this career, including a letter of accommodation from the Secretary Of The Army and developing a patent he retired to enjoy more adventures.

Dick went on to become a jazz producer, a black jack tournament player and race horse owner.

In last year he moved to assisted living at Harmony at Hope Mills in NC to be able to be closer to family.

He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Dick had a love of living life to its fullest. In his last months, he was able to have more adventures by going out to lunch giving restaurant reviews and even got to dance with his daughter Tracey at a concert played by his godson, Tom Ellison and his wife Lori.

He will be greatly missed but Heaven has surely become a little bit more fun having gained this angel.
