He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert McDonald and Mary McDonald; his wife Donna; his daughter Kristin; his grandson Joshua; his former spouse Christopher Brice; his children, Liliana, Isabella, Zoe, Emma, Grace and Lucas; his parents-in-law, Thomas and Betty Davis; his brothers, Ronnie McDonald (Beverly) and Robert McDonald (Daphne); and his siblings-in-law, Sonya Teasley (Tim) and Tom Davis (Regina). He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
