She was predeceased by: her parents, Bennett Gilchrist and Lillian Gilchrist (Beatty); her husband William Lee Johnson Jr.; and her son Bennett Mitchell Johnson. She is survived by: her daughter Laura Johnson Millinor (Blake) of Hickory, NC; and her sister Brenda Sumner of Raleigh, NC. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
