It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marion Smith of Hope Mills, North Carolina, born in Lumber Bridge, North Carolina, who passed away on September 8, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Cecil E. Smith Sr.; her parents, Deames Franklin and Bertha Lee Hall; and her siblings, Deames Franklin Hall Jr., Wendell Wilkie Hall and Loyce Aileen Thompson.
She is survived by: her children, Cecil E. Smith Jr., Cecilia S. Register and Myra S. Hilliard (Glenn); her grandchildren, Jamie (Nikki), Justin Smith (Kelsey), Melissa Kulwicki (Joe) and Chasity Poole (Michael); her great grandchildren, Jaxon, Aubry, Addison Smith, Roley Smith, Tiffany Hyatt, Kinsley and Ainsley Poole; her great great grandchild Hunter Hyatt; and her son-in-law Glenn. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, family and friends.
She was a member of St. Pauls First Baptist Church as a child and later was a member of Charity Baptist.
