She was predeceased by: her parents, James Holland and Labon Etta Holland Cain; her husband Rufus P. Odom; and her sisters, Mary Hubbard and Patricia Gibson.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Odenwelder (William) of Hope Mills, Wanda Shipman (Ronnie) of Hope Mills and Christopher Odom of Jacksonville; her sister Wilodene Sanders; her grandchildren, Linda Christal, Jeff Flaherty, Paul Odom, Ashley Velilla, Michael Odom and Casey Shipman; and her great grandchildren, Aiden, Rayna and Ellorah.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cape Fear Valley Hospice, 2301 Robeson Street, Suite 202, Fayetteville, NC 28305, in her honor.
