Joseph Tolbert Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Tolbert (Hope Mills, North Carolina), born in Rocky Gap, Virginia, who passed away on July 15, 2019, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Wiley Tolbert and Julia Mae Guy Tolbert; his wife Bobbie Jo Tolbert; and his siblings, Herbert Guy Tolbert, Edd Ray Tolbert, French Wiley Tolbert, James Samuel Tolbert, William Jacob Tolbert and Ruby E. Tolbert Jones.

He is survived by: his children, Tamara Williams (Gary), James Tolbert (Shannon), Angela Pollitt (Tom) and Steven Tolbert (Denise); his grandchildren, Lauren Overton (Ryan), Kellan Steckline (Chad), Ashley Dodd, Samantha Pollitt, Trevor Pollitt, Sierra Tolbert, James Tolbert II and Joseph Tolbert; his great grandchildren, Aubrey Steckline, Berkley Steckline, Fisher Overton, Aubrey Dodd and Anna Dodd; his sons, Richard DeHart, Jr. (Suzi) and Scott Craig DeHart; his grandchildren, Christopher DeHart (Mel) and Jessica Martin (Scott); and his close friends, John D. Tolbert, Judy Tolbert and Patsy Tolbert.
