He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Franklin and Alma Joyce Edge Blackwell; his brother Mitchell Blackwell; and his grandparents, Shelton, Ella Edge, Luke and Gertha Blackwell.
He is survived by: his siblings, Wayne Blackwell (Lisa) and Janene Hairr (Allen); and his sister-in-law Paula Blackwell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
