She was predeceased by: her parents, John McKinley Moore, Sr. and Gladys Barnes Moore. She is survived by: her son Laconia Higgs, III (Felicia) of Colfax; her siblings, John McKinley Moore, Jr. (Anne) of Dudley, Bernard Moore (Ernestine) of Texas, James Walton Moore (Joan) of Wilson, Gladys Inez Davis of Rocky Mount and Bernice Pitt (Oscar) of Browns Summit; and her grandchildren, Devon Harguess, Lawrence Higgs and Lance Higgs.

“I met Janice in the summer of 1977 we dated over a year February 16 , 1978 we was married I was stationed at Ft Bragg 82 nd Janice and I was married for 15 years our good times surely outweighed the bad times. When our son Laconia got stationed at Pope Air Force base we became close friends with the birth of our grandsons Lawrence and Lance I truly miss her but her last days was filled with so much pain finally the Lord said enough brought her home until we meet again.”
