It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Helen Fields McLean of Hope Mills, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 87, on March 10, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Paul and Myrtle Fields; her husband James A. "Jim" McLean, Sr.; and her siblings, Ila Mae Turlington, Rev. Roland P. Fields and James D. Fields.

She is survived by: her children, Louise Autry (Joel) and James A. McLean, Jr. (Paulette); her grandchildren, Alan Holland (Jenny), Trey McLean (Tanya), Brandon McLean (Beth), Jan Taylor and Michael Autry (Sonya); her great grandchildren, Ethan Holland, Caleb Holland, Grace McLean, Taylor Barefoot, Shelby Autry, Ryan Taylor, Annika McLean, Nolan McLean and Cecilia McLean; and her brother Roy L. Fields (Dianna). She is also survived by several nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Highland Baptist Church (4456 Legion Rd, Hope Mills, NC 28348). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at the Hope Mills Cemetery (4850 Legion Rd, Hope Mills, NC 28348).

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to Highland Baptist Church 4456 Legion Road Hope Mills, NC 28348 or to the charity of your choice.
