With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerlene Johnson of Hope Mills, North Carolina, born in Dillon, South Carolina, who passed away on July 22, 2021 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Carter and Ruby Byrd Carter; and her great grandchild Easton. She is survived by: her husband Allen Johnson; her sons, Allen Rex Johnson (Debbie), Drake Emmanuel Johnson (Susan) and William Todd Johnson; her brother Grady Leo Carter; her grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Webster, Kari Tyler Jester, Clinton Drake Johnson, Cory Johnson, Lance Kestrel Johnson and Andrew Grady Johnson; and her great grandchildren, Ava, Reid, Delaney, Cameron, Austin, Lennox and Mia.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to the Cotton UMC Building Fund, 4514 Mill St, Hope Mills, NC 28348.
