He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Hales of Hope Mills; his children, Brian Hales (Michelle) of Hampstead, Wade Hall (Melissa) of Lumberton and Lois Walker (Michael) of Fayetteville; his siblings, Lawrence Hales (Diane) of Roseboro, Marson Hales of Roseboro, Annette Cobb (Jim) of Melbourne, FL, Cathy Carlisle (Jeff) of Roseboro and Loreen Hudson (Randy) of Turkey; his grandchildren, Tyler Hales, Brandon Faircloth (Kimberly), Whitney Hall and Emily-Grace Hall; his great grandchildren, Cameron Faircloth, MaKayla Faircloth, MaKenzie Faircloth and MaKinley Faircloth; and his close friend Phillip "Phil" Edwards (Teresa) of Wade. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
