She was predeceased by: her parents, LeRoy Brown and Mildred Brown; her sisters, Sharon Brown and Nancy Paghughi; and her children, Jason Spoltore and Agatha Spoltore.

She is survived by: her daughter Lucretia; her son-in-law Shawn Gentry of Hope Mills; and her grandchildren, Seth Gentry, Adriana Nunnery Spoltore, John Saunders and Katlin Bennett.
