He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Earl and Elsie Stafford Phelps; and his siblings, Martha Phelps, Darlene Davis, Elsie Mavis Phelps, Mary Frances Felton, Ruth Ann Phelps, Earl Phelps and David Phelps.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Phelps (Ginger); his daughters, Tiffany Abraham (Robbie), Rebecca Melberger (Jeff) and Ann Burrow (Charles); his grandchildren, Harper Abraham, Emersyn Abraham, Anna Melberger and Jaylon Rogers; his great grandchildren, Peyton Ramsey and Jordan Ramsey; his siblings, Faye Mann, Estella Harrell, Shelley Smith (Smitty) and Bradley Phelps (Sarah); and his pet Princess. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other family members.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Pinecrest Funeral & Cremation Services (4721 Dunrobin Dr, Hope Mills, NC 28348). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Lafayette Memorial Park.
