He is survived by: his wife Alice Shirley; his son Rex Allen Shirley Jr.; his wife Lisa Shirley of Hookerton; his brother Horace Ray Shirley (Glenda) of Hookerton; his grandchildren, Allen Blake Shirley, Tyler Steven Shirley (Megan) and Colby Mark Shirley; and also Randell "Randy" Shirley of Winterville.
