He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Turner; his parents, Herbert Turner and Junie Byrd Turner; and his siblings, Prentice Turner, Arden Turner, Kermit Turner, Dorothy Turner Sumrell, Faye Turner Howard and Gaynelle Turner Malpass.
He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Turner Bratten of La Grange, Beverly Turner Johnson of Dover, Connie Turner Clark (Raymond) of Kinston, Steven Curfue Turner (Karen) of Greenville and Anthony Clark Turner of Hookerton; his grandchildren, Amy Bratten, Melissa Bratten, Julie T. Wilson (Scott), Julie Johnson (Justin Stroud), Verner "Quint" Abbott V (Rachael), Jordan Lee Abbott, Krysta Brunelle, Dustin Turner (Jessica), Bradley Johnson (Sarah Casey), Codie Johnson (Elizabeth), Bruce Clark (Sarah) and Michael Clark (Brooklyn); his great grandchildren, Mallory, James, Evelyn, Piper, Violet, Jackson, Lily, Dakota and Elizabeth; his sister Donnie Belle Hill; his niece Dorothy Kay Lychak; his great-niece Caroline Stallings; and his close friends, Barbara Smith, Willie and Jamie White.
