He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Burton Overby, Jr. and Louise Browner Overby; and his brother Jacob "Burt" Overby. He is survived by: his son William Joseph Overby, II of Statesville; his sister Barbara Overby; his cousin Shan Davis; and his former wife Tina W. Overby.
