He was predeceased by: his parents, George Van Trump Burgess, Sr. and Helen Steers Burgess. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Hogan; his children, Steven Burgess and Susan Sharpe Burgess of Holly Springs; his sister Claire Steiger; and his grandson Jackson Valdez.
