She was predeceased by: her husband J. C. Evans; her parents, Walter Ludlo Gay and Mary Yuhas Gay; and her brother Ross Gay. She is survived by: her children, Debra Evans, John C. Evans Jr. (Belinda) and Edward Evans (Jessica); and her sister Veronica Gay. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
