It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alison Claire Smith of Holly Springs, North Carolina, who passed away on August 12, 2022, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her sister Lorna Murray. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Wermke; her daughter Alexa Smith; her parents, Hilary Murray (Dan Freehling) and Bruce Murray; her mother-in-law Jane Murray; her siblings, Diana McKee and Jason Murray; her former husband Dan Smith; and her pets, Sophie and Chloe. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
