He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurman, Sr. Davis and Flo Davis; and his sisters, Elaine Lassard and Frances Rouse. He is survived by: his sister Elizabeth "Beth" Hill (Jason) of Jacksonville; his caregiver Theresa Wyckoff of Holly Ridge; his grandchildren, Brooke Davis (Dillon) of Jacksonville, Dylan Hill of Maysville and Bailee Hill of Jacksonville; his great grandchildren, Kaiya and Blake; his niece Hope Henderson of Canton; and his cousins, Buddy and Necia Davis of Sneads Ferry.
The family of the late Thurman "Butch" Davis has requested all memorial donations be made to the Veterans Spear Fishing Project SPEARIT North Carolina through Operation Barnabas or an organization of your choice in lieu of flowers.".
