It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rose Matthews of Holly Ridge, North Carolina, who passed away on January 15, 2025, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elias Nahas and Elizabeth Haddad Nahas; her husband Vincent Matthews; her son-in-law Michael Hughes; and her siblings, Marie Hayek, Dorothy Rader, Jim Nahas, Sara Welikonich, Joan Griffin and Adele Matern.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rosemary Matthews of Holly Ridge, NC and Donna Hughes of Holly Ridge, NC; her sister Helene Nahas; her grandsons, Michael (Alexis Hughes) and Ryan (Emily Hughes); and her great grandchildren, Holden, Oscar and Rory.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Ann's Catholic Church (49 N Line St, Frackville, PA 17931). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
