He was predeceased by: his wife Opal Carlyle; his parents, Sylvester McCray and Aggie Tyndall Hobbs; and his brothers, Liston Hobbs and Danny Hobbs.
He is survived by: his brother Terry Dewayne Hobbs (Ioma) of Holly Ridge; and his close friends, Mary Ann Lane, Juanita Bullard and Amy Currie.
