He is survived by: his wife Sharon Poole Thornton; his children, April Thornton Wade (Joe) and Lynwood Lee Thornton (Jodi); his grandchildren, Olivia, Christopher, Landon and Rylee; his mother-in-law Lorene Poole; and his sister Sandra Thornton West (Charles). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
