He was predeceased by: his wife Lucille Kay Padgett; his parents, Ernest Padgett and Beatrice Padgett; and his sons, Ernest "Ernie" Padgett (Meischelle) of Burgaw and Anthony Padgett (Christina) of Ohio.

He is survived by: his sisters, Helen Gagnon (Don) of Verona and Mary Grafius of Holly Ridge; and his stepbrother Greg Murray. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
