He was predeceased by: his parent Lester William. He is survived by: his parent Surrethor Oliver Osborne Gorrell; his wife Wanda S. Gorrell; his children, Sharon K. Apple (Ray) of Troy, Rita M. Herndon of Holly Ridge, Ray Gorrell of Colfax and William Gorrell (Becky) of Julian; and his siblings, Lola May Weiss of Randleman and William T. Gorrell of Meadows. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
