He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Herman Cox and Gonza Lee Keeler Cox; and his siblings, Nita Korenek and Mickey Cox. He is survived by: his wife Hellen Strickland Cox; his children, Danny Cox (Dee), Cindy Cox (Curtis Baker) and Annette Erny (Darrell); his grandchildren, Kane Cauthen, Dalton Cox and Dylan Cox; his great grandchildren, Kana Cauthen, Brody Cauthen and Marley Cauthen; and his siblings, Shelda Rice, Rhea Martinez, Frank Martinez, Edna Purtell, Vernon Cox, Gwenn Cox and Rita Crisco.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Reel Housewives of Topsail Island Breast Cancer Foundation, PO Box 2067, Surf City, NC 28445.
