He was predeceased by: his parents, Argenta Harper Belfield of Hollister, NC and Charles Belfield of Roanoke Rapids, NC.; and his brother Charles Belfield (Margaret). He is survived by: his wife Angela Reneé Mingo; his cousins, Pops, Stinky Feet, Bobby Buckets and Bobby Brown; his daughter Aurelia; his siblings, Chalita Belfield, Dawud Salahuddin and Howard Keith Belfield (Annmarie); and his sister-in-law Karen Swinger. He is also survived by six nieces, two nephews, four great-nephews, six great-nieces, two great-great-nephews, one, goddaughter.
