He was predeceased by: his parents, Joshua Lee and Mary Davis (Richardson); his wife Bettie Rene Richardson Davis; and his siblings, Rachel Evans, Yolanda Kennon, Ronald Ray Davis, Donald Davis and Charles Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Patricia "Pat" Silver (Michael) of Rocky Mount, Margaret Evans (Shawn) of Hollister, Julian Wayne Davis (Rhonda) of Red Oak, Ronald Davis (Vicki) of Hollister and Tony Davis (Chenoa) of Hollister; his grandchildren, Lorie Silver, Erin Evans, Shawn Evans, Justin Davis, Emily Davis, Lauren Davis Bowser (Clayton), Evan Davis (Ashley), Carrigan Davis, Jayla Davis and Noah Davis; his great grandchildren, Layla Bowser, Baylee Bowser, Elijah Davis and Gabriel Davis; his siblings, Velma Mills (Charlie), Hazel Silver (Jimmie), Bessie Rice, Kathleen Davis, Phyllis Davis, Joshua Lee Davis (Hester), Dennis Davis (Suzie), Melvin Davis, Sr. (Cynthia) and Raymond Davis (Gail); and his sister-in-law Cora Davis. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
