We are sad to announce that on December 15, 2020, at the age of 87, Pattie Lawrence Phillips Whitehead of Hobgood, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Hugh and Susan Dickens Phillips; and her siblings, Theora Phillips Stroud, Margaret Phillips Harrell, Marvin Hugh Phillips and George Thomas Phillips.
She is survived by: her husband R. C.; her daughters, Patricia W. Thompson (Michael) of Apex, Rebecca W. Wade of Cary, Cindy W. Hinton (Billy) of Zebulon and Angela Whitehead (Paige Acree); her sister Edna Phillips Sorie of Scotland Neck; her sister-in-law Daphne B. Phillips of Garner; her grandchildren, Kelly W. Woodlief (Tony) of Oxford, Lisa Lepage of Denver, CO, Karen Lepage of Seattle, WA, Sammi Kay Pollard, Samantha Pollard of Greenville, SC, Trey Whitehead (Heather) of Franklinton, Guy Dodson of Wilmington, Kyle Dodson (Jasmine Moschella) and Samuel Pollard of Greenville, SC; and her great grandchildren, Kadence, Hailey Woodlief, Ava Whitehead, MacKenzie Dodson-Moschella, Zach Woodlief, Maddox and Cade Whitehead.
Due to concerns regarding COVID-19, the family will have a private funeral service with Rev. Don Glendenning officiating.
