He is survived by: his wife Patricia King; his son Brooks King (Brandy) of Hobgood; his grandchildren, Ethan King and Alyssa King; his cousins, Evelyn "Sissy" Stewart (Jimmy) of Scotland Neck and Dale Hearn of Gaston; and his close friends, David Mayer of Hobgood, Robbie Stallings of Scotland Neck and Bobby Drewett of Jackson.
