With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wendell Holmes Hobbs (Hobbsville, North Carolina), born in Gates, North Carolina, who passed away on April 17, 2021 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Ambrose and Anna Parks Hobbs; and his siblings, Charity, Elsie Lassiter, W. D. and Edison Hobbs.
He is survived by: his wife Annie Lee Hobbs; his sons, Lynn Hobbs (Janine) of Hobbsville and Jeff Hobbs (Ann Marie) of Hobbsville; his grandchildren, Daniel Hobbs (Becky), Courtney Bailey (Dale), Kristen Jackson Jones, MaKenzie Hobbs, Tyler Jones and Brittany Jones; and his great grandchildren, Lilly, Riley-Brooke, Ariel, Natalie, Charlotte, Kylie, Ashtyn, Austin, Grant and Ethan.
Memorial contributions may be made to Warwick Baptist Church, in care of Cindy Harrell, 433 Gliden Road, Hobbsville, NC 27946, where it will be designated for use in the church's music ministry.
