He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lewis Henry Perkins Sr. and Clarissa Harrell Perkins; his wife Cheryl Joyner; his sisters, Lois Ann Perkins Benton (Elmo) and Florence "Polly" Perkins Butler (Kenneth); his nieces and nephews, Debbie Benton Shirley (Rodney), Jean Benton (Les), Jeanette Benton Hart (Dennis), Kara Butler Haltiwanger (Garrett), Stefanie Fearrington (Doug), Warren Benton (Andrea) and Bradley Perkins (Shelley); his close friend Crystal Tipille; and also Sandy Perkins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters.
