He was predeceased by: his parents, Rhett Truesdale George, Sr. and Gladys Doughty George. He is survived by: his wife Joanna George; his son Charles R. George (Dawn); his sister Darien Pickens (Robert); his grandchildren, Caitlin George Kalen (Alex) and Ashlee George; and his nieces, Barbara Pickens Foster (Ed) and Linda Pickens Cobb (Ty).
