With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Peggy Byrd Johnson (Hillsborough, North Carolina), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Peggy Byrd left this world on February 22, 2025 at the age of 79, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Joseph and Mary Hutchins Byrd; and her siblings, Raymond (Bud), Commie (Com), William (Bill), Lee Roy (Chub), Norman, Leona Williams (Sal), Shirley Neville (Shirl) and Gloria Brook (Goma).
She is survived by: her husband Calvin; and her sisters, Mary Alice Hall and Betty Gera. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews, and her great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mars Hill Baptist Church (1418 NC-57, Hillsborough, NC 27278). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
