She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Joe Ashley and Clara Powell Ashley; her daughter-in-law Hope Gentry of Morehead City; her children, Ricky Gentry (Florence) and Rhonda Gentry of Morrisville; her sister-in-law Joan Riley Ashley of Mebane; her sister Deloris Hawkins (Jiggs); her siblings-in-law, Bobby King of Burkburnett, Texas and Dianne Albright Ashley of Efland; her sister Billie Bauer (Gary) of Hillsborough; her grandchildren, Krista Boyette (Daniel), Austyn Jensen (Eric) and Gunnar Gentry; her husband Artice Vereen of Garner; her son Rocky Gentry of Morehead City; and her siblings, Lockett Ashley of Mebane, Sara Ashley King of Hurdle Mills and Gerald Ashley of Efland. She was also cherished by four great grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.
