She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Miller Hines and Sarah Borland Hines; and her husband James Alton Tunstall. She is survived by: her stepmother Hazel B. Hines; her siblings, Edgar J Hines, Harold M Hines, Charles David Hines, Mary Catherine Roberson, Shirley Brown, Sarah Jane Norton and Irene Laube (Elzie); her sister-in-law Norkie Hines; her children, James "Jimmy" Edward Tunstall (Mary), Betty Marie Cates (Larry) and Janice Tunstall Lusk; her grandchildren, Sandy Laney (Stewart), Kile Lusk, Kasey Lusk and Katlin Lusk; and her great grandchild Cates.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mars Hill Baptish Church.
