He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Johnson and Nancy Reid Johnson of Efland, NC.; his sister Zane Johnson Copple; his nephew Danny; and his niece Amy Copple.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Miller Johnson; his children, Julius Calvin "Johnny" Johnson, Jr. (Stephanie), Ronda Johnson Baldwin (Glen) and Suzanne Johnson Finley (Stephen); his grandchildren, Christopher Johnson (Cathy), Thomas Johnson (Adriana), Zachary Baldwin (Hayley), Amelia Baldwin Berry (Jason), Natalie Baldwin Smith (Gabriel), Gracie Finley and Kellie Finley; his great grandchildren, Savannah, Jessie Berry, Halie, Jacob Calvin, Connor Johnson, Isaac Johnson and Claire Elaine Baldwin; and his siblings, Sherry Bradley (Charles) and Steve Johnson. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and dear cousins.
