He was predeceased by: his father Spurgeon Carter. He is survived by: his wife Bertha Lovett Carter; his children, David (Meagan Carter), Erin Carter and Deborah (Willie Fox); his grandchildren, Hunter, Charlie, Jacob Carter, Amanda Fox, William Fox and Scarlett Cox; his great grandchildren, Austin Bryant and Liam Fox; his siblings-in-law, A. D. (Callie Stuart), J. T. (Dar Lovett) and Janet Lovett; and his daughter-in-law Meagan.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to Mars Hill Baptist Church cemetery fund or donations can be made to Liberty Hospice of Durham, NC. As always, donations can be made to any charity of your choice that brings joy to your heart.
