She was predeceased by : her parents, Naomi Pearson Williams and Charles A. Williams, Sr.; her husband Thomas Wesley Simmons; her sons, Jerry and Danny; her siblings, Charles A. Williams, Jr. (Mozelle), Virginia W. Warren (Rudolph), Ruth W. Willette (EC) and Louise W. Garrard (Theodore); and her friend Elizabeth S. Terry.
She is survived by : her son Tommy; her daughter-in-law Denise Simmons of Durham, NC; her grandchildren, Frank Simmons of Hillsborough, Evetta Allen of Durham, Olivia Simmons of Denver, CO and Greyson Simmons of Durham; and her aunts and uncles, Grace Parrish, Buck, Diane Ferrell, Beverly Ball, Randy, Joyce Moss and Serana Markham. She is also survived by great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
