She was predeceased by : her spouse Otha Morris Wheeley; her parents, Isaac Brown and Lou Brown; her brother Edmund Brown; her daughter Mildred Wheeley; and her granddaughter Penny Wilson.

She is survived by : her children, Raymond (Marie Wilson), Wallace Wilson, Dan (Luz Wilson), Janie (Mike Shaw) and Buddy Wheeley; and her grandchildren, Julie, Sean Thompson, Dennis Wilson, Donna, Rob Sokol, Dan Wilson, Sharmon Shaw, James, Laura Shaw, Kathy Gryder, Renee Clawson and Rhonda Weischel.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorial contributions be made in Mrs. Wheeley's honor to the Masonic Home for Children, 600 College St. Oxford, NC 27565.
