She was predeceased by: her husband William Fulton Dodson; and her parents, Andy Griffin Gates and Christine Hall Gates. She is survived by: her children, Cathy Bivins (Doug) of Statesville, Jimmy Dodson (Pam) of Hillsborough and Johnny Dodson (Kim) of Mebane; her grandchildren, Paula Hamilton (Todd), Andy Bivins (Naomi), Lisa Marie Stevens (Tyler), Christy Sherlin (Charles) and Matt Dodson (Mara); and her brother Griffin Gates of Caldwell. She is also survived by mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and was loved by all her family, friends and coworkers.
