He was predeceased by: his brother Kenneth Hicks. He is survived by: his wife Mary Parker Hicks (Pauline); his daughters, Donna Crocker and Janet Lassiter (Mike); his siblings, Hazel Syma, Dorothy Riley and Billy Joe Hicks (Faye); his grandsons, Brandon Lassiter (Dorrie) and Jason Crocker; and his great grandchild Madison Lassiter.
