He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Clayton and Elizabeth Wilkerson Clayton; and his siblings, Doris Clayton and Larry Clayton. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Hawkins Clayton; his children, Debby Clayton Rose of Mebane and Curtis Michael Clayton (Mike) of Rougemont; his grandchildren, Dennis Logan (Melissa) of Burlington, Danny Logan (Jennifer Smothers) of Mebane, Mallory Clayton and Laura Clayton of Graham; his great grandchildren, Tanner Logan and Kendall Logan of Mebane; and his brother Tommy Clayton of Cedar Grove.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lawrence Road Baptist Church, 1901 Lawrence Road, Hillsborough, NC 27278.
